The Moscrop Girls’ Netball team was lucky to host Mt. St. Benedict School from Australia in an exhibition game at Moscrop last Friday. This was a great opportunity for our players to play against girls who have much more experience and have grown up playing netball. The quick speed of the Aussie’s passes and moves was challenging at first, but our girls held their own and finished strong! After the match, the players mingled and found out that this Australian school has approximately 1,000 students, with 2 basketball teams and 22 netball teams! This shows how popular netball is in Australia and why it’s the #1 most played sport in other countries around the world. The Australian team appreciated Moscrop’s hospitality, and were especially impressed by our brand new mural of the panther in our large gym!
