Friday, September 28th will be our school’s honouring of Orange Shirt Day. This is a day where we honour the Indigenous children who survived the Indian Residential Schools in Canada, and to remember those who didn’t. Over 150,000 children attended these schools, and the impact this event has had on Indigenous cultures and communities has been devastating. Please consider wearing orange, and to do your part to participate actively in the reconciliation process in Canada.
